Compliance is more than fulfilling legal, regulatory and internal requirements. We have developed a four-step compliance methodology for our clients. This is how we address the particular needs of each of our clients. The principle allows for a different focus in each phase and thus priorities are individually tailored to your company.
V - ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF YOUR COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
First, we take stock with a no-bias organisational and process analysis. The status quo tells us where the company currently stands in terms of compliance. All necessary elements of a CMS are analysed and evaluated. We check whether the existing measures are designed in such a way that rule violations can be detected (early) with sufficient certainty. This could be based on standards such as ISO 19600 or the IDW PS 980.
O - IDENTIFICATION OF POTENTIAL FOR IMPROVEMENTS AND ASSOCIATED MEASURES
Optimisation is based on the results of the analysis phase. Depending on the severity of the vulnerabilities, this may lead to the definition of new and changed processes or related measures to “cure” the weaknesses as quickly as possible and minimise the compliance risk.
R - IMPLEMENTATION OF DEFINED MEASURES
Our work does not end with the concept. Once the defined measures and changes have been agreed with you, we will implement them together with you. Points such as change management, cultural aspects and knowledge management are just as natural to us as the consideration of changes.
I - CONTINUOUS AUDIT AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Each solution should be reviewed over time to identify any potential for improvement. Whether you do this with or without us, is not dependent on the implementation. We enable our clients to realise their own improvements in the future, supporting the process in an advisory capacity. The result is a tailor-made compliance management system (CMS).
